Growing up in my dad's whole-grain bakery taught me a love for breads that break the barriers of traditional baked goods. It was this passion for unique, hearty products that led me to develop the loaf of 100% whole grain Spelt Bread that you hold in your hand.

Spelt has a truly unique flavor and texture that is often described as nutty and dense. We've been baking this northwest favorite for almost 20 years at our family bakery, and I know that if my dad were here today, he would be especially proud of this bread.

Because spelt is an ancient grain, many people with mild wheat allergies find it more suitable than normal wheat. However, spelt does contain gluten and is not suitable for people with Celiac's or other severe wheat allergies.
