My dad has often been described as eccentric and ornery. He was a self-proclaimed "hard-headed Norwegian", but the fact is that his life's work made a difference.

He was one of the earliest "modern" pioneers in sprouted wheat breads, buns, and cookies. Relatively few people appreciated the taste and nutritional value of sprouted wheat in the 1960's-mostly hippies and "health nuts"-but somehow our family bakery made it through.

Surviva Bread was Dad's trademark. It has stood the test of time-and imitation-because it's still just a perfect blend of organic sprouted wheat, whole grains, seeds, and honey. Simple, delicious, and nutritious.
